You may have noticed that I haven’t been blogging lately. The reasons are threefold: first, the craziness of the holiday season; second, that I’ve been trying to finish the memoir I’ve been writing for what feels like half my life (I’m almost there); and third, I’ve been contributing a lot to food media. A fresh blog post is on its way soon, but for now, here’s a story I wrote for Zester Daily at the end of 2016 about Ntsiki Biyela, South Africa’s first black female winemaker. Ntsiki is both a great winemaker and pioneer in her field, now rolling out her own brand.
